What to Watch Out For & Booking Tips
-
Resort fees & taxes: Many Las Vegas hotels (especially casino/resorts) add mandatory resort fees — these can significantly raise total cost beyond base nightly rate. Always confirm the total price before booking.
-
Commute time: Even “closest” hotels may require 5–15 minute drive (or a rideshare) to CSN. For convenience, choose hotels within ~3 miles if you want minimal commute.
-
Parking / Traffic: Some areas (near Strip or casinos) may have congested traffic; also check parking availability/fees if driving.
-
Rates fluctuate: Weekend, holidays or local events can raise rates — booking early (well ahead of February 2026) is recommended.
-
Group / educator discounts: Since attendees are conference participants, some hotels may offer group rates or educational discounts — worth asking when reserving multiple rooms.
